HOLDREGE, Neb. – InSPIRe Rehabilitation was honored Friday, January 11, with a Patriotic Employer Award. Andrew Weides, PT and Co-owner of InSPIRe Rehab was presented the award by Mr. Garth Scism, a Nebraska Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) committee volunteer. The local therapy team was nominated for being highly supportive of Mattie Schake who is a physical therapist assistant and serves in the Air Force National Guard.
Ms. Schake nominated her team for her ability to take off work for military assignments including training and activity duty. She is currently deployed through July 2019. “The Patriot Award was created by ESGR to publicly recognize individuals who provide outstanding patriotic support and cooperation to their employees, who like the citizen warriors before them have answered their nation’s call to serve,” said Mr. Scism in his presentation. “Supportive supervisors are critical to maintaining the strength and readiness of the nation’s Guard and Reserve units, and it’s a pleasure for me to recognize InSPIRe Rehabilitation and the entire staff who work side by side with Mattie.” He added, “Please continue to support Mattie while she’s deployed. A great way is through letters and care packages.” Mr. Weides signed an ESGR Statement of Support publicly acknowledging their support for all Guard and Reserve service members. Mr. Weides stated, “Our team is very proud of Mattie and her dedication to our country.” He added, “We are honored to receive this award and look forward to having her back following her return from deployment.” ESGR, a Department of Defense program, seeks to foster a culture in which all employers support and value the employment and military service of members of the National Guard and Reserve in the United States. InSPIRe Rehab serves Phelps Memorial Health Center, Holdrege Memorial Homes, Christian Homes, Bertrand NH, local schools and home health in the area.
